Fishing and Light Tackle in Cancun
We can arrange a day trip from your hotel in Cancun and pick you up anywhere
from Playa del Carmen to Cancun, drive you to the boat launch and keep you
fishing all day. Isla Blanca is just 10 minutes from Cancun
downtown and we pickn' drop you at your hotel!
Isla Blanca is open year-round and offers productive fishing at anytime of
the year. What is the fishing like? With the combinations of flats, lagoons, and
islands to fish around we encounter a variety of fish in various situations.
We once fished Isla
Blanca but does not do so since commercial fishing has depleted the
area. Infact, as the lagoons Nichupte and Bojorquez are national parks,
permits required for fishing are provided with the tours.
All fishes are caught
and released to protect the species. We have Bonefish, Snook, Tarpon,
Rainbow Trout, Permit, Jacks, Barracudas, Snappers, Ladyfish and
Talapias in our lagoons.

 All species maybe found all year round although
Snook and Tarpon run heavier during November - February and Bonefish
and Permit run heavier during the summer months. |
 Light
tackle Penn equipment are provided. with 8 and 10 lb. line. Artificial
lures are used.

Our
are dexterous guides that know how to manueuver their boat for an
exciting catch for experienced fly fishermen. Customers are expected to
bring their own fly gear. A #8 or #9 fly rod, floating line, flies for
baby tarpon of various colors, an assortment of streamers in various
colors, # 1 and # 2-0 hooks are recommended. |
